Apparent Inc. (“Apparent Car Rentals,” “appaRent”) is committed to protecting your personal data. If you would like to request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, please follow the instructions on this page.

What Data We May Hold

Depending on your interactions with us, we may hold the following types of data:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Driver’s licence number and rental history
• Apparent Loyalty account details (tier, balances, transaction history)
• Payment references (we do not store full card numbers)
• Communications sent via contact forms, WhatsApp, or email

How to Submit a Deletion Request

You can request deletion of your personal data by any of the following methods:

Option 1 — Email Us

Send an email to info@apparentcar.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:

• Your full name
• The email address associated with your account or booking
• A brief description of what data you would like deleted

Option 2 — WhatsApp

Send us a WhatsApp message with the words “Data Deletion Request” along with your name and the email address linked to your account. Our team will respond within 5 business days.

What Happens After You Request

• We will verify your identity before processing the request.
• We will respond to your request within 30 days.
• We will delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., rental records for insurance or regulatory purposes, which we are required to keep for a minimum of 5 years).
• We will confirm in writing once the deletion has been completed.

Limitations

Please note that we may be unable to delete certain data where:

• Retention is required by Barbadian law, insurance regulations, or a court order.
• The data is necessary to resolve an active dispute, outstanding balance, or claim.
• Deletion would adversely affect the rights of another individual.

In such cases, we will inform you of the specific reason we are unable to delete the data.
